Here's the clip from our discussion with Kathie Lee and Hoda on the TODAY show Friday. Hoda's a huge Quisp fan -- who knew?
TODAY SHOW
Gael and I just got back from a whirlwind trip to do a segment on the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda. We taped it yesterday, and it's scheduled to air this morning. I'll post a link to the video after it airs. And we're working up a post about our experience for our publisher Perigee's blog -- I'll post that, too!
WELCOME
Thanks for stopping by. I know it's a cliche, but man, it's been a busy few months: At my PR agency, I've been writing dozens and dozens of pieces for clients across a variety of industries -- everything from news releases to articles to direct mail. And every night, after I turn off the lights at the office, I've been going home to...you guessed it: write some more. It's all paying off, though, because on June 7 the book I wrote with my friend Gael Fashingbauer Cooper finally hits store shelves.
"Whatever Happened to Pudding Pops? The Lost Toys, Tastes & Trends of the '70s & '80s" is coming out from Perigee Books -- I just got my advance copies yesterday, and I've got to say it's a hoot to finally hold the thing in my hand. I even had to go back and check: We started this way back in 2005. Six years from when we started throwing around ideas to our publication date! And as fun as the writing process was, we're heading into the really good part: interviews, bookstore events, talking with readers on Facebook, checking our Amazon stats every five minutes.
There's a lot more information about the book here. I'll keep you posted on new events, and where you can catch Gael and me talking about all sorts of book-related stuff. Thanks for your support so far -- can't wait to see what happens next!
